Where is it safe for my baby to sleep when we are on vacation?
A safe sleep location for infants on vacation includes an enclosed flat supported surface without cushioned bumpers. The Safe Sleep for Babies Act of 2021 (effective in 2022) made the sale of inclined or soft sided infant sleep devices illegal in the United States. Safe sleep locations can include a hard-sided bassinet (if your child is not yet rolling over), a travel crib, or play yard. When using a travel crib or play yard, be sure to use the lowest/deepest setting if your child can roll over independently. Hotel beds (with adult pillows/cushioning), soft-sided in-bed bassinets, and clothing drawers are not recommended.
