She has a cold. How do I help her sleep?

If your baby has a cold, she is probably uncomfortable and may have a hard time sleeping. Although we do not give cold medications to infants, if she is old enough (over 2 months of age), you may be able to use acetaminophen to treat a fever. You can also raise the head of the crib, run a humidifier in the bedroom, or use a product to suction mucus from her nose to help alleviate congestion and be a bit more comfortable.

Be sure to check with your health care provider of what you can give your baby when she has a cold.
