She cries through the entire routine. What can I do?
It can be incredibly frustrating when your baby cries throughout the entire routine. What that does tell us, though, is that you are being incredibly consistent. The child already knows when you start those activities that it’s time for bed. That is a good thing. Keeping a consistent bedtime routine that starts with a feeding outside of the bedroom, moves toward the bedroom, and ends by putting your little one down awake is important. Know, though, that you can mix in some quiet activities that your little one likes. The activities or steps of the bedtime routine should work for you and your family and certainly does not have to be cookie-cutter!
