What do I do when his sleep patterns change? He used to be such a good sleeper – but not anymore!
That is completely normal! Sleep patterns are always changing. The best thing to do is exactly what you usually do to get him back on track. If you are concerned that something physical is bothering him that might be disrupting his sleep – or that he is sick or has an ear infection, be sure to check with his health care provider. In the meantime, when he wakes during the night, do what you need to do to get him back to sleep as quickly as possible to help him and you get as much sleep as possible. However, if this becomes a habit, consider some sleep training at bedtime to make sure he knows how to fall asleep on his own at bedtime and return to sleep on his own during the night.
