How do I help my baby with eczema sleep better?
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! If your baby has eczema, a form of very dry skin that causes itching, she may be waking several times during the night because she is uncomfortable and her skin is itchy. Be sure to check with your pediatrician about which medications, such as cortisone creams or diphenhydramine (depending on your baby’s age), may be appropriate to treat your little one’s eczema. You can also use lotions that trap moisture in the skin or run a humidifier to moisturize the air.
There are also special pajamas that keep hands covered to help prevent scratching during sleep.
